  • At Inprise Corporation
    • Successful launch of Borland C++Builder 4 on the Web. This product launch included visual redesign of C++Builder sub-site, a multi-tracked tour, mark-up of new materials, redesign of site navigation, and cookie tracking for product marketing. JavaScript used on the tour to repurpose a single page across the four tours. The sub-site navigation relied on JavaScript as well. Conception, design, and implementation of the Dynamic HTML navigation tool palette accompanying the launch. Perl CGI script for Products and User ID cookie tracking.
    • Perl CGI script to handle Web product registration requiring unique User ID for product.
    • Successful completion of Web site navigation survey. Assisted in the writing of the survey itself, and then implemented the survey. Perl CGI scripting to handle form processing and parsing the output. Creation and analysis of data within Excel spreadsheet. Presentation of completed survey of over 100 pages of charts and data, along with site recommendations.
    • Successful home page and corporate information sub-site redesign. Moved home page from a fixed width to one that was dynamic in size while retaining high degree of control over design elements within the page.
    • Implementation of form for Latin American Web Mail, along with Perl CGI scripting the back end of the Web mail.
    • Tutoring and assisting other team members in learning JavaScript, CGI, Perl, cookies, and HTML.
    • Successful launch of the Inprise DCE-CORBA Bridge on the Web. Product home page built entirely in Dynamic HTML, including mouse-overs for text boxes, image maps, image animation, and dynamic vertical restructuring of entire page.
    • Redesign, cleanup, and custodianship of the Web Group's Toolbox consisting of various tools, tutorials, and site documentation for the maintenance of the corporate Web site.
    • JavaScript form validation for IntraBuilder product migration.
    • Attendance and participation at ThunderLizard Productions 1998 JavaScript Conference in Monterey, California.
    • Conception, design, implementation, and maintenance of Perl CGI script to workaround lack of database for storing and indexing company's customer case studies. The form and script together allow a user to query on case studies by vertical market, product, database, and location of customer.
    • Conception, design, implementation, and maintenance of Web page Template Generator to maintain consistency throughout the site in the creation of new documents.
    • Redesign of JavaScript on Web site that handled dates, including home page date and last modified date found on each page, to be Y2K compliant. This project included finding, verifying, and documenting an undocumented JavaScript bug in document.lastModified.
    • Successful ongoing implementation of new web site content. Repaired broken HTML on site and restructured much of the legacy site. Major cleanup projects included complete overhaul and indexing of Case Studies and Press Releases. Ongoing projects include ZD Tips and Journals, along with cleanup and reorganization of these items.
  • At Franz Inc.
    • Successful ongoing implementation of new web site content. Repaired broken HTML on site, restructured and redesigned web site. Redesigned and implemented new CGI scripts to handle corporate web site forms. Optimization of site design to minimize maintenance work.
    • Wrote documentation for all non-trivial web site and database maintenance procedures.
    • Conceived of, designed, and implemented internal marketing web site.
    • Bug reports, interface design, and feature suggestion for server and server-side scripting language under development.
    • Successfully cleaned marketing database involving resolution of a year's backlog of work within the first six weeks of employment.
    • Successful and on-time maintenance of marketing database; through own machinations was able to improve efficiency of record maintenance from 500 records per work day to over 1200 records per work day.
